The Deputy Chief Radiographer is responsible for supporting the operational leadership of the medical imaging department, with a primary focus on workforce coordination, staff rostering, and people management. This role ensures appropriate staffing levels are maintained balancing resourcing with clinical demand while supporting staff wellbeing, professional development, and team performance. The Deputy Chief Radiographer works closely with the Chief Radiographer and senior clinicians to implement efficient rostering practices, manage leave planning, and address day-to-day staffing challenges. Up to $9K for living expenses and $2.6K meal & entertainment & Novated Leasing.Discounted gym memberships with a Fitness Passport.Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for employees and family members.Discounted Private Health Insurance.Selection CriteriaUndergraduate qualification in Medical Radiation Science or equivalent with current AHPRA (MRPBA) membership & current EPA Radiation LicenseDemonstrated experience in management to enhance staff performance, influence workplace culture, and lead changeExtensive knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems including but not limited to: Stafflink, PAT (Staff Appraisals), Recruitment & Onboarding (ROB) and HealthRoster programsDemonstrated experience in developing and managing staff rosters that align with operational requirements, while maintaining compliance with bugetary constraints and relevant policies and legislationDemonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills including experience in the preparation of Medical Imaging performance data as requiredDemonstrated experience in workforce planning and evaluation within a high volume dynamic work environmentHighly developed and effective written and oral communication skillsExtensive experience at a Senior Radiographer or acting Deputy Chief levelNeed more information?
