Night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM. Minimum of 2 years of experience required. No first-time travelers accepted. Weekend requirements include working every other weekend. No on-call requirements. Floating may be needed to meet facility needs. Block scheduling not accommodated. Local candidates not accepted beyond a specified distance. Pending licenses are accepted. Request time off ideally should not exceed 5 days. Facility can cancel up to 3 shifts for any assigned candidate without penalty. Special procedures include central line insertion, cardioversion, ART line insertion, and chest tube insertion. Special equipment utilized includes NICOM, Nihon Kohden, heated high flow (Airvo), BiPAP, and ventilators. Patient demographics include adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census typically is around 2 patients. Patient diagnoses include CHF with RVR, DK, alcohol withdrawal, ARDS, pneumonia, sepsis, and various surgical cases. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary. Skills required include management of arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, feeding tubes, ventilated patients, and cardiac telemetry.
