Senior Commercial Leasing Attorney
Rendina Healthcare Real Estate, a nationally recognized developer, owner, and operator of healthcare real estate, is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Leasing Attorney to join its growing legal team. This position is based out of our Jupiter, FL headquarters, with the potential for a hybrid schedule.Reporting to the General Counsel and partnering closely with leasing, development, asset management, and operations teams, this individual will play a critical role in supporting the leasing and operational functions of Rendina’s national healthcare real estate portfolio.The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in commercial real estate leasing, exceptional drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Experience with healthcare real estate, medical office buildings (MOBs), health system relationships, and physician leasing arrangements is a plus.This position presents a significant growth opportunity for the right candidate within a dynamic and expanding healthcare real estate platform.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Leasing & Transaction ManagementDraft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide variety of commercial real estate leasing documents, including:Office and medical office leasesLease amendments, renewals, expansions, and extensionsAssignments, subleases, and termination agreementsLetters of intent (LOIs)Tenant improvement agreementsAccess, easement, and operating agreementsSupport initial lease-up activities for new developments and redevelopment projectsPartner closely with leasing and asset management teams to facilitate efficient deal execution and portfolio managementAssist with lease interpretation and ongoing administration matters across a national healthcare real estate portfolioAdvise business teams on legal and operational risks associated with leasing transactionsHealthcare Real Estate SupportSupport leasing and operational matters involving:Medical office buildings (MOBs)Outpatient and ambulatory care facilitiesHospital-affiliated campusesAssist in structuring leasing arrangements involving healthcare providers and health systemsSupport compliance considerations relating to healthcare leasing arrangements, including:Coordinate with outside counsel and internal stakeholders on healthcare regulatory matters as neededAsset Management & Operational SupportProvide day-to-day legal support to asset management and property operations teamsReview and negotiate vendor agreements, service agreements, and property-related contractsAssist with dispute resolution involving tenants, vendors, and operational mattersSupport due diligence and leasing components of acquisitions, dispositions, and financingsLegal Process Improvement & Risk ManagementDevelop and maintain standardized lease forms, templates, and legal playbooksAssist with implementation of legal process improvements and contract management proceduresIdentify and mitigate legal risks related to leasing and operational activitiesHelp support the continued growth and scalability of the legal departmentQualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law schoolMember in good standing of the Florida Bar (required)4–10+ years of experience with a focus on: Commercial real estate leasing Real estate transactions and asset management supportExperience drafting and negotiating sophisticated commercial leases requiredHealthcare real estate or healthcare industry experience preferredCombination of law firm and in-house experience preferredCore CompetenciesStrong commercial leasing drafting and negotiation skillsAbility to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a deadline-driven environmentStrong business judgment with practical, solution-oriented legal adviceHighly organized with strong attention to detailAbility to work collaboratively across departments in a team-oriented environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCommitment to professionalism, responsiveness, and client service
