Construction Office Assistant
Position Overview
Brown Contracting is seeking a temporary Office Assistant to support daily operations during a maternity leave. This role will train with the current admin before taking over responsibilities. The position offers a flexible schedule and exposure to a wide range of administrative functions within a small, fast-paced construction office.
What You’ll Do
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and employee tracking
Maintain weekly project tracking logs and update internal spreadsheets
Reconcile monthly statements (Amazon/AMEX) using Excel
Help maintain compliance records
Organize files, scan documents, and manage shared folders
Monitor and restock office and bunkhouse supplies
General administrative support for project managers and office staff
Qualifications
Prior experience in an office admin or similar role
Basic computer proficiency required
Excel experience preferred (sorting, organizing data, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and organization
Friendly, professional, and able to work with a team
Comfortable handling a variety of tasks and shifting priorities
Construction industry experience is a plus, not required
Work Environment
On-site role near Wilsonville, OR
Small office supporting construction projects across the state
Flexible scheduling within business hours
Physical / Practical Requirements
Ability to lift and move office supplies as needed
Occasional walking to check inventory (office and bunkhouse)
Comfortable maintaining shared spaces (light cleaning/organization)

This is a temporary role, but strong performers may be considered for a long-term position
