Electrical Maintenance Technician
Electricians must be committed to their own personal safety as well as the safety of others around them. Electricians are required to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems, while working individually or as a part of a team with other maintenance personnel in the following areas: electronic instrumentations/DCS, electrical distribution, pneumatic/hydraulic control systems and control valvesElectrician will be based in the Ashland, KY Service Center and will perform a wide range of tasks to ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained.Some of the main tasks include:Candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards always.Conduct installation, maintenance, and modification, machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, including but not limited to, electrical, PLC, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.Perform other tasks as needed.Skills:Safety conscious, self-motivated, proficient communication skills, exceptional work ethic and strong attention to detailHighly motivated with a keen interest to further your own ability and studies.Identifying problems and analyzing or reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.Skilled in the use of tools, machines and testing instruments used in the repair and overhaul of steelmaking plant equipment.Knowledge and understanding of the basic operating principles of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic/vacuum systems and components.
