With a focus on integrity and excellence, Partek supports the development and success of its clients within the oil and gas, U.S. DoD, shipbuilding, and various other industries.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role based in Houma, Louisiana for a Welding Specialist / Certified Welding Inspector. Acceptable candidates shall be U.S. citizens or persons authorized to work in the U.S. The responsibilities of this role include inspecting welds to ensure compliance with applicable standards, developing and qualifying welding procedures in support of various projects. Additional tasks may include conducting metallurgical testing, supporting welding machine calibration services, analyzing weld performance, providing technical advice for process improvements, and preparing inspection reports for clients.QualificationsAWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required with at least 5 years of experience in a QA/QC roleExperience with writing and / or reviewing welding procedures is preferred.Strong Analytical Skills to assess welding specifications, detect deficiencies, and ensure quality standards are metProficient with MS Word and ExcelExperience with metallurgical testing or welder testing environments is a plusExcellent Communication skills for effectively collaborating with team members and clientsExtensive knowledge and experience related to welding and fabrication is preferredProficiency with interpretation of technical drawings and specificationsProject Management abilities to coordinate and oversee welding and testing activitiesAbility to work on-site in a laboratory, shop or field environment and adhere to safety standards
