The Sanitation Operator is accountable and responsible for plant sanitation and cleanliness to maintain quality control and protection of product, ensuring departmental safety, environmental controls and development and training of sanitation employees.Key Responsibilities:Ensure a clean and safe work environment is maintained, including but not limited to: proper storage of tools, hoses, cleanliness of work area, and proper wear of all personal protective equipment, immediately contain and report any spills or unsafe conditionsEnsure all sanitation tasks are completed safely as assigned to the shiftReview and fill out master sanitation sheets (MSS) after completing assigned tasksCommunicate with management at any hour during emergency situationsInteracting regularly with peers & management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork focused environmentPerform daily safety equipment checks as requiredComplete all required safety trainingsEnsure sanitation operations are performed in accordance with approved procedures and company policyRead and follow Standard Operating Procedures and formsCommunicate with other shifts and supervisors/leadersReport all accidents, incidents and near misses to the Superintendent of operations and the Plant ManagerMaintain a positive and professional atmosphere for all employees and visitorsOther duties as directed or required Preferred Qualifications:High School diploma or GED equivalent requiredAbility to follow policies & proceduresDemonstrated ability to work in a team & safety environment Skills and Competencies: Have the ability to climb stairs and laddersAble to work in all weather conditionsAble to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basisMust be willing and able to work overtime hours during the week, weekends and/or holidays as neededMust be self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervisedFood Safety Policy:Adams Group is committed to producing and distributing high quality products through adherence to industry and regulatory standards.
