SummaryJob Summary (Fullstack Developer Jersey City, NJ) Lead end-to-end delivery of full stack solutions using React, Java Spring Boot, GraphQL/REST, and AWS-managed services. Drive architecture/design reviews, define service boundaries, API contracts, data models, and integration patterns. Develop secure, high-quality, production-grade code; conduct code reviews; enforce engineering standards. Build and maintain highly available, scalable, and reliable services with operational excellence. Implement and govern authentication/authorization using OIDC/OAuth2, token validation, and service-to-service security. Establish robust observability (structured logging, metrics, tracing) and incident response readiness. Evaluate vendor/internal solutions for architectural fit, security, scalability, and guide adoption. Partner with Product and UX to translate requirements into technical plans and deliver outcomes. Minimum 8 10 years of full stack engineering experience in production systems, including senior/lead responsibilities. Expertise in React (modern patterns, TypeScript, performance, UI development). Expertise in Java Spring Boot (APIs, dependency injection, validation, error handling, tuning). Proficiency in GraphQL (schema, resolvers, federation, query optimization) and REST (OpenAPI contracts, compatibility). Hands-on implementation of OIDC/OAuth2 (JWTs, token flows, scopes/claims, secure session patterns). Strong AWS experience (designing, deploying, operating cloud-native apps; IAM, networking, operational tooling). Advanced data layer experience with AWS Aurora PostgreSQL (advanced SQL, optimization) and AWS Neptune (graph modeling). Event-driven systems experience with AWS Kafka/MSK (topics, consumer groups, schema evolution, operational monitoring). Strong CI/CD practices, automated testing, code quality gates, and release confidence strategies. Demonstrated use of AI-assisted engineering tools (Claude Code and/or GitHub Copilot) for accelerated development and quality. Preferred: Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation/CDK), containerization (Docker, ECS/EKS), advanced security practices, platform standards definition. Must be local to Jersey City, NJ and willing to attend an onsite interview if requested.
