Director of Parent Advocacy, Alpha - $200,000/year USD
You excel in high-stakes, fast-moving environments. You have a proven track record serving affluent clients who demand exceptional, personalized attention. You believe deeply that AI can transform education and are prepared to advocate for that vision when facing doubters. If any of this feels like a mismatch, this position is not the right fit.Alpha is not a conventional educational institution. We are a technology-driven startup demonstrating that every child possesses extraordinary potential. Our students complete their core academic curriculum in only two hours daily through AI-enabled applications, dedicating the remainder of their day to practical competencies: public speaking, analytical reasoning, collaborative challenges, and meaningful project work. No traditional lectures. No redundant assignments. Only accelerated mastery and performance outcomes in the top 1% nationally. Families expect service at a concierge level. You will routinely defend our approach against concerns about screen exposure, traditionalist objections, and skepticism that the results are too remarkable to be genuine.During the initial launch phase through year one, this position functions as an enrollment sales role. You are accountable for the complete pipeline—from initial inquiry through executed enrollment contracts—with defined conversion benchmarks and CRM oversight. We will not launch a campus without securing at least 25 enrolled students. Achieving that enrollment threshold is your responsibility. You will deliver compelling information sessions, facilitate personalized campus visits, maintain persistent follow-through, and finalize commitments. After reaching 25 students and bringing on an admissions director, your role transitions to serving as the campus's lead parent relations executive. You will cultivate loyalty, address concerns with exceptional service standards, and transform satisfied families into vocal advocates who actively refer others. This is a high-responsibility, high-independence position with transparent accountability. You will operate independently without extensive administrative infrastructure, marketing support, or established protocols. Strategic direction evolves based on performance data. Standard procedures are still emerging. You will create them. The majority of your time will be spent in the community (coffee meetings, networking lunches, Chamber of Commerce gatherings) rather than in an office. You will be present during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal. Evening parent programming and occasional weekend student events are expected. A single poorly matched family within a cohort of 25 can compromise the entire group dynamic, making the ability to decline unsuitable applicants as critical as enrolling ideal ones. The payoff? You will observe outcomes rarely seen by most education professionals: doubtful parents evolving into passionate champions, reserved students presenting with poise to adult audiences, families selecting your campus over prestigious private institutions. You will create something substantial from the ground up and fully own the outcomes. If you believe conventional schooling is failing children and a superior alternative exists, this is your opportunity to demonstrate it.HIRING FOR THESE LOCATIONS:CA: Santa Barbara, Palo Alto, Piedmont (East Bay), & Lake Forest (Orange Co.)MD: BethesdaTX: Austin, Fort Worth (DFW)WA: Kirkland (Seattle)This is an on-site role in the cities listed above, with local travel as needed.
