Project Engineer (TAB / HVAC)Company: Solvo Global Location: Remote – Latin America or Kenya Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM ESTAbout the RoleWe are looking for a Project Engineer with 2–5 years of experience in Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) for HVAC systems. This role is responsible for preparing and implementing TAB documentation — including keyed drawings, test forms, government submittals, and commissioning plans — ensuring everything is complete, accurate, and ready for field execution by TAB Technicians.You will serve as the critical link between project award and field work, coordinating documentation across departments and maintaining quality standards throughout the process.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and number keyed mechanical drawings for HVAC systems using technical specifications.Create and organize TAB test forms in USA Balancer software.Prepare government submittals ensuring compliance with project specifications and requirements.Conduct design and submittal reviews for mechanical systems to identify potential issues.Develop commissioning plans for HVAC, Lighting, Plumbing, and Electrical systems.Coordinate with other departments to ensure documentation aligns with project timelines.Follow established quality control standards for all TAB Forms, Keyed Drawings, and Submittals.Complete assigned project engineering tasks within established deadlines.Identify and escalate technical issues related to drawings, forms, and submittals.Support resolution of complex reject reports by providing technical documentation and analysis.Communicate project status and technical issues to the Project Engineering Department Manager.Requirements2–5 years of experience in TAB, HVAC systems, or related mechanical engineering roles.Strong knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems, including air and water balancing principles.Proficiency with BlueBeam software for document markup and review.Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.Knowledge of NEBB standards and procedures.Proficiency with USA Balancer software.English level B2+ (required — this is a bilingual role).Preferred SkillsExceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.Ability to interpret complex technical specifications and requirements.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
