Join an established enterprise communications company at an exciting inflection point — where a mature, battle-tested platform meets a bold new wave of innovation. We're building our developer advocacy function and looking for an engineer-minded communicator who can bridge the gap between our UCaaS API platform and the developers, partners, and clients who build on top of it. If you love the craft of engineering but get just as energized explaining it, this role was built for you.

Collaborate closely with the engineering team to gain deep understanding of platform capabilities
Translate technical implementation details into clear, accurate, and useful documentation for external developers
Create code examples, guides, and reference material that accelerate developer onboarding
Client Presentations
Present demo applications to clients, system integrators, and technology partners
Clearly explain REST API concepts and integration patterns to both technical and semi-technical audiences
Represent the engineering team in client-facing settings with confidence and clarity
Build demo applications that show case real-world use cases of our UCaaS REST API
Create and showcase demo extension applications for our Horizon platform using our UI SDK integration tool
Work directly with clients to help them understand, adopt, and get the most out of Horizon extension apps
Maintain and iterate on demos based on client feedback and new API features
Security Posture
Maintain a strong security posture by adhering to all company information security policies and procedures.
This includes, but is not limited to, protecting customer data from unauthorized access, maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information, adhering to established availability protocols, and participating in mandatory annual security awareness training.
What We're Looking For
Solid engineering fundamentals with the ability to understand, consume, and explain REST APIs
Hands-on experience building applications that integrate with third-party APIs
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable presenting technical concepts to clients and partners
Professional Excellence
Self-starter who can work independently and manage multiple workstreams
Detail-oriented with a commitment to clear, accurate technical writing
Collaborative — able to work with engineers to extract and communicate deep technical knowledge
Confident public speaker who can engage diverse audiences
Bonus Points
UCaaS, VoIP, SIP or telecommunications experience
Prior experience writing API documentation or developer guides
Developer relations or technical advocacy background
What You'll Get
Creative freedom building demo applications on a rich UCaaS API platform
Close collaboration with the engineering team — you'll always know the "why" behind the platform
Flexible work arrangements — hybrid schedule available for San Diego and Phoenix area candidates
Comprehensive benefits package and competitive compensation
