Area Sales Manager

The RoleWe are hiring a Senior Sales Executive to own PGM's full commercial motion. You will qualify inbound leads, run discovery, build proposals, close new business, and stay engaged as the relationship owner for the accounts you bring in.Our client base spans a range of specialties, with laboratory making up a significant and growing share of our book — and a meaningful share of your pipeline. This is a senior individual contributor seat with real ownership: you run sales end-to-end, from inbound qualification through signed agreement and into the relationship that follows.About PGMPGM Billing Solutions is a New Jersey–based medical billing and revenue cycle management company that has served healthcare providers since 1981. We are a 100% onshore operation supporting multi-specialty physician practices, surgical centers, behavioral health groups, and laboratories — with a reputation built on close client relationships, deep operational expertise, and a commitment to doing the work right.What You'll Do:SalesQualify inbound leads across multi-specialty physician groups, surgical centers, and laboratoriesRun discovery calls — understand specialty, volume, current setup, pain points, payer dynamicsBuild and present tailored proposals using PGM's pricing and ROI tools, including transition analysisManage the full pipeline from first contact through signed agreementDevelop targeted outbound into laboratory and other strategic prospect segmentsPartner with leadership on larger or more complex opportunitiesRepresent PGM accurately and credibly — no overpromising, no scripts that don't fit the buyerClient ServicesServe as the relationship owner for the accounts you closeConduct regular check-ins, performance reviews, and issue-resolution callsMonitor each client's billing performance, AR, denials, and collections at a summary level; escalate to the operations team as neededStay close to credentialing status, payer issues, and operational friction pointsCoordinate with EHR/PM partners (including Amazing Charts) on client-impacting mattersIdentify opportunities to expand or deepen existing relationshipsRequired Qualifications3+ years selling RCM, medical billing, or healthcare back-office services with documented quota performance — or 5+ years hands-on medical billing with strong client-facing aptitude and a real desire to step into a revenue-generating seatStrong working knowledge of medical billing fundamentals: CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, denials, AR, full revenue cycle workflowExcellent verbal communication — comfortable with physicians, practice managers, lab directors, and C-level ownersConfident handling pricing conversations and objectionsSelf-directed pipeline management; able to run a pipeline and a book of accounts simultaneouslyPreferred QualificationsExperience selling into laboratories — clinical, anatomic pathology, molecular, or toxicologyWorking knowledge of laboratory billing realities: PAMA, the 14-day rule, Z-codes, LCD/NCD coverage, molecular reimbursementFamiliarity with lab billing platforms (XiFin, Telcor, LigoLab) and major LIS systemsCredentialing experience (CAQH, PECOS, payer enrollments)CPB, CPC, or similar AAPC/AHIMA certificationExperience with Amazing Charts or comparable EHR/PM systemsPrior experience presenting proposals or running new-client onboardingWhat We OfferCompetitive base salary plus uncapped commission on new businessAccelerators on strategic dealsBenefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTORemote, hybrid, or onsite — we will work out the setup that fits, with travel as the role requiresWarm inbound lead flow — you are not cold-dialing all dayDirect access to leadership and short decision cyclesA 40+ year reputation and a 100% onshore team that delivers what you sellHow to ApplySend your resume and a brief note about your healthcare sales experience to sales@pgmbilling.com.
