Project Engineer

Title: Project EngineerLocation: Fort Myers, FLJob SummaryWe are seeking a motivated Project Engineer 0-2 years of experience to support our Land Development team. This role offers hands-on experience across a variety of site development projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. The Project Engineer will assist with design, drafting, analysis, and coordination while gaining exposure to real-world civil engineering practices, codes, and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in site civil design, including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway layoutsSupport preparation of engineering plans and construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3DPerform engineering calculations related to stormwater management, earthwork, and utility systemsAssist with technical reports, exhibits, and permit application documentationReview and organize survey data, geotechnical reports, and as-built drawingsCoordinate with internal teams, municipalities, utility providers, and external consultantsConduct quantity takeoffs and assist with cost estimatesParticipate in project meetings and support project scheduling and workflow trackingPerform additional engineering-related tasks as neededQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related fieldEngineer Intern (EI) certification or ability to obtain within 6 monthsBasic understanding of civil engineering principles and design standardsProficiency in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3DStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsInternship or prior experience in land development projectsFamiliarity with local, state, or municipal codes and permitting processesExposure to stormwater modeling tools such as ICPR, HEC-RAS, Hydra flow, or EPA SWMMWhat You’ll GainHands-on experience with active land development projectsMentorship from licensed Professional EngineersExposure to permitting processes, design standards, and construction documentationDevelopment of technical, communication, and coordination skillsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experience401(k) with company matchMedical, Dental, and Vision insuranceAnnual performance bonusWork Environment & Physical RequirementsPrimarily office-based with occasional field visitsAbility to sit, stand, and work on a computer for extended periods
