The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, performing quantity take-offs, reviewing project documents, and supporting competitive bid preparation for heavy civil construction projects. This role requires strong estimating expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, vendors, and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities & QualificationsPrepare accurate cost estimates and competitive bid proposals for heavy civil construction projectsPerform quantity take-offs and analyze project drawings, specifications, and contract documentsSupport budgeting, cost management, and project assessment activities throughout the estimating processCoordinate with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders to gather pricing and project informationReview labor, material, and equipment costs to ensure accurate estimates and bid competitivenessUtilize Agtek, Bid 2 Win, Procore, Microsoft Word, and Excel for estimating and documentation purposesMaintain organized estimating records, reports, and supporting documentationCollaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate bid submissionsExperience required in heavy roadway, airport, and utility construction projectsStrong knowledge of construction estimating methods and quantity take-off techniquesExcellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills requiredAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentHigh attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and documentation3+ years of construction industry experience required3+ years of construction estimating experience required
