Emissions Monitoring Technician (LDAR)Field-Based Role | Industrial ServicesAlso Known As / Secondary Titles:LDAR Technician, Emissions Monitoring Technician, Environmental Field Technician, Leak Detection Technician, Air Compliance TechnicianBe the Eyes on Emissions at Critical Industrial SitesPROtect LLC is looking for a skilled LDAR Technician who takes pride in fieldwork, problem-solving, and doing the job right.In this role, you won't just "run routes", you'll play a critical part in helping major industrial facilities stay safe, compliant, and operational. From identifying leaks to working directly with plant teams, your work has real impact every day.If you enjoy hands-on work, being in the field, and building a long-term career in environmental services, this is where you grow.What You'll DoField Monitoring & ComplianceMonitor valves, pumps, and components using EPA Method 21 and site protocolsRun assigned routes and ensure all components are completed accurately and on scheduleIdentify, tag, and track leaks for repair and re-monitoringMaintain precise documentation to support compliance and reportingEquipment & Technical Work Calibrate and troubleshoot handheld analyzersEnsure equipment is functioning at peak performanceSupport re-monitoring of repaired componentsSite Communication & Impact Work closely with plant operations and maintenance teamsCommunicate findings clearly and professionallyIdentify opportunities to improve compliance and efficiencySafety & Team Contribution Follow all safety protocols, including PPE and respirator useReport incidents and maintain a strong safety-first mindsetSupport teammates and take on additional responsibilities as neededWork Environment Industrial facilities (refineries, chemical plants, etc.)Outdoor work in all weather conditionsWork at heights up to 300 feetActive, hands-on role (climbing, lifting, moving throughout the site)Schedule Typically 4x10s (four 10-hour shifts per week)Schedule may vary depending on site needsWhat We're Looking For 6+ months of LDAR or similar industrial/environmental experienceStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to work safely in physically demanding environmentsGood communication skills-comfortable working with plant teamsBasic computer skills (Excel, handheld devices, data entry)Valid driver's license and reliable transportationPreferred Experience (Not Required) 2+ years of LDAR experienceExperience with TVA 2020 (MIC-6 & manual calibrations)Familiarity with BWON, AVO, QQQ reporting, or OGI/IR camera techRefinery or chemical plant experienceAbility to read P&IDs or understand emissions systemsWhy PROtect?At PROtect, our technicians are more than just field staff, they're trusted professionals working on critical infrastructure across the country.We don't just hire for a job, we build careers.
