Safety CoordinatorKraemer North America is currently looking for a Safety Coordinator to join our team in our Mountain West Region - CO area. Hiring Range: $75,000 - $105,000. Base salary is dependent on multiple factors: education, experience, skills, market rates, internal equity and/or location. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Project Manager, Regional Manager and Safety Manager and will act as the lead resource for implementation, management, and continuous improvement of safety. This involves coordination and administration of the corporate safety and health programs to minimize the frequency and severity of incidents of loss while maintaining the efficiency of the overall operations. We recognize that our people are our greatest strength, and we're proud to employ some of the most talented professionals in the construction industry.ResponsibilitiesWork with field supervision to assess and document work practices to ensure that Kraemer policies and procedures are supported by management and practiced by employeesFollow up and assist with corrective action process to ensure that hazards are effectively eliminated and/or controlled in support of our Safe Production cultureCoordinate and conduct Kraemer and Owner New Hire Orientation Programs and other safety-related training as needed in accordance with Kraemer policies and proceduresAct as the project's representative in all areas of occupational safety and health and assist project management in Work Activity Planning and the effective implementation of Kraemer's Safety and Health ProgramsDevelop Site Specific Safety Plans for projectsMonitor site conditions, including air quality, illumination, wind speed, ventilation, and dustEnsure a proactive approach to safety by communicating safety-related issues through monthly and weekly safety updates, memos, and staff meetingsAssist with applying industrial hygiene procedures, techniques, and documentation of work practices to protect employees' health and safetyInvestigate serious incidents of loss in conjunction with management/staff to determine root causes and necessary corrective action to prevent reoccurrence in accordance with Kraemer's Incident Analysis and Reporting ProgramIntegrate behavioral based safety practices and assist in providing leadership for the Safe Production cultureAdminister and ensure compliance with Kraemer Safety ProgramsAssist Kraemer personnel with safety related issuesIdentify and provide and/or coordinate required training with assistance of the Regional Safety ManagerAnalyze incidents of loss and statistical information and provide management with recommendations for improved performanceWork with the Risk Analyst, Safety Director, Safety Managers, and Project Managers to facilitate Kraemer Incident Analysis and Reporting, Medical Case Management, and Crisis Management programsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Safety or related field with extensive coursework and/or expertise in Risk Management and Loss Control, Construction Management, Industrial Hygiene, and Behavioral Based SafetyBilingual (English/Spanish) preferredPrevious safety leadership experience in construction related industry preferredProfessional safety certification -- Construction Safety & Health Technician (CSHT) is preferredSound knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and FRA RegulationsComputer literate: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPointAbility to work outside in extreme weather conditionsAbility to travel to regional offices as neededBenefitsMedical & Dental InsurancePaid Parental Leave401(k) Savings Plan with company matchProfit SharingHealth Care Reimbursement PlanLife Insurance & Dependent Life InsuranceShort-Term & Long-Term DisabilityHolidays/Vacation/Sick PayEducational AssistanceComputer Purchase ProgramCompany Vehicle/Fuel CardCompany Cell Phone/Computer
