The Corporate Comptroller; oversees and directs General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Cash Management and Capital Asset Management. Responsible for resource allocations in these areas. Plans and develops policies and procedures to improve services and operations. Monitors and evaluates the performance of key staff members. Oversees preparation of monthly financial statements and annual audit. Provides education in understanding financial statements.Minimum Requirements* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Public or Health Service Administration or Finance.* Seven to Ten years' experience in a hospital, including at least five years supervision above the first supervisory level.* Ability to develop financial management strategies that meet hospital and corporate objectives.* Knowledge of hospital generally accepted accounting principles, consolidated accounting concepts, implementation of accounting and reporting systems, critical analysis of data and measurement of financial performance.* Maintain awareness of trends in accounting/financial presentation and governmental third party payor reimbursement policies, standards, and procedures.* Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.* Ability to maintain effective working relationships with vendors and the hospital staff.* Ability to effectively present information to executive management and board of directors.* Experience in organizing and leading teams.* Knowledge of standard problem solving and management information systems.Preferred Qualifications* MBA.* CPA certificate.
