Krapf Corporate Headquarters is located in West Chester, Pennsylvania.EXPECTATIONS:Support Krapf vision and mission in all activitiesDemonstrate Krapf Core Values of commitment, open communication, respect and excellent serviceRepresent Krapf in a professional, business-like mannerComply with all Krapf employee and safety policiesPOSITION SUMMARY:Provide basic, preventive maintenance and systems and electronics diagnosis and repair for diesel and non-diesel vehicles on a scheduled basis in accordance with the company's Maintenance Excellence Program. Also provide basic emergency road service as required.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Comply with company safe work practices and procedures to reduce hazard exposurePerform timely preventive maintenance of vehicles in compliance with company requirements and division schedules within the framework of Krapf Maintenance PolicyPerform oil changes and lubricate chassisCheck and replenish vehicle fluids including oil, water, power steering, transmission, differential and washer fluidsInspect tires, belts and hoses and correct problems as neededInspect steering and alignment components and diagnose problems to facilitate repairsInspect exhaust system and suspension systems for defects and repair as neededInspect and service brake systems with supervisionAdjust, replace and/or repair lighting components, and replace and repair accessories such as heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipersInspect all occupant safety systems such as seatbelts, wheelchair locks, wheelchair lifts, etc. and make adjustments as neededProvide minor emergency road service as neededComplete daily paperwork as required by assignmentsAssist with snow and ice removal as neededPerform other tasks as assigned by the Lead TechnicianBENEFIT INFORMATIONBenefit OverviewReferral FlyerRequirements:QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum one-year experience in auto mechanicsBasic mechanical ability and understanding of vehicle systems including electrical systemsState inspection license (depending upon state)Forklift training if requiredCompletion of required brake certification and some OEM training; optional hazardous material trainingAbility to provide and follow directions effectivelySelf-starter with good organizational skillsAbility to work independently and with supervisionValid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and appropriate endorsements; or willingness to obtain themPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Periodically lifting, pushing, or pulling objects weighing up to 35 lbs. and lifting heavier objects with assistanceAbility to climb ladders and stairsAbility to reach to shoulder height and overheadFine motor coordination & the ability to operate hand tools and other auto repair equipmentAbility to bend, stoop, kneel and reach around vehicles to perform inspections and repairsAbility to work in extreme weather of very hot or very coldEDUCATION:High School diploma or equivalentSAFETY SENSITIVE STATUS:This job is considered Safety-Sensitive and incumbents are subject to random substance, drug and alcohol testing.This job description supersedes all previous job descriptions and like documents.
