Job SummaryTalentWise LLC is building a pipeline of financial and client service professionals to support anticipated government contract awards with Arlington County, VA.The Customer Account Specialist provides client-facing support for financial and billing services within human services programs. This role assists clients in understanding insurance coverage, payment options, and program eligibility while ensuring accurate account management and compliance with applicable regulations.The position requires strong communication, analytical, and customer service skills, particularly when working with diverse populations and individuals experiencing complex needs.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct client interviews to assess financial eligibility, insurance coverage, and payment optionsExplain billing processes, insurance benefits, and program requirements to clients and stakeholdersDetermine eligibility for subsidized fee programs and establish payment plansVerify insurance coverage and coordinate with providers and payorsManage client accounts, including posting payments, reviewing balances, and making adjustmentsMonitor accounts for accuracy and determine appropriate actions, including write-offs or collectionsRespond to billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies with clients, staff, and insurance providersMaintain accurate records and documentation, including contracts and eligibility formsApply customer service and de-escalation techniques when working with clients in sensitive situationsCollaborate with clinical staff and external partners to ensure proper billing and reimbursementStay current on healthcare billing regulations, policies, and compliance requirementsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related fieldExperience in eligibility determination, billing, or financial services in a healthcare or human services environmentKnowledge of healthcare billing practices, insurance programs, and regulatory requirementsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to work with diverse populationsAbility to analyze financial and eligibility data and make informed decisionsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage sensitive information with professionalism and confidentialityCertifications in medical billing or coding (preferred)Equal Employment Opportunity StatementTalentWise LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
