OverviewFWI is building a team to deliver STEM outreach support services for the Air Force Research Laboratory's (AFRL) Next-Gen Outreach Office at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. As the Wizards of Wright! (WOW!) Project Manager, you will serve as the lead for one of AFRL's flagship K-12 engagement programs, bringing real STEM professionals into Miami Valley classrooms to deliver hands-on science demonstrations that inspire the next generation of innovators.FWI has been recognized as a Top Workplace by the Washington Post in 2024 and 2025, offering excellent growth opportunities in a collaborative environment.Position is contingent upon contract awardWork Schedule and Location:On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm at Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio.ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of the WOW! project, ensuring alignment with Ohio Curriculum Standards and National STEM StandardsDevelop and update classroom presentations based on educator and mission needsRecruit, train, and maintain a database of WOW! volunteer presentersCoordinate, schedule, and follow up on classroom presentation requestsAssemble, track, and maintain WOW! classroom materials and equipment (e.g., wind tunnels, thermal cameras)Provide two teacher in-service workshops annually during summerQualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in a science fieldMinimum 3 years of functional area experienceActive Ohio Teacher License requiredFWI is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/vets.Why Join Our TeamAt FWI, we place the highest importance on creating an exceptional employee experience.
