The qualified candidate will be responsible for supporting and leading project deliverables are in conformance with applicable requirements, as well as within project time scales. The incumbent is responsible for supporting the delivery of multidisciplinary complex system and infrastructure-related projects involving rail rolling stock and CBTC signaling systems.Main Duties/ResponsibilitiesThe duties of the Systems/CBTC Integration Technical Lead Engineer are set out below, but also include any other reasonable activity as directed from time to time Lead the engineering design review, integration, and implementation of rail and transit systems, including rolling stock (subway, commuter rail, light rail, automated people movers), Communications Based Train Control (CBTC), Data Communication Systems, Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) and Automatic Train Control/Positive Train Control (ATC/PTC). Provide engineering support of procurements for CBTC projects. Responsible for resolving design and system integration issues on transit vehicle projects. Provide engineering support of procurements for rail transit vehicles. Responsible for resolving design and system integration issues on transit vehicle projects. Support both office and field-based activities, including technology assessments, writing specifications, evaluating vendors, design reviews, troubleshooting, and problem resolution, testing support, and failure investigations. Review and coordination of rolling stock systems designs including vehicle networks, communications, passenger information, CCTV, PA, train control, propulsion, brakes, auxiliary power systems. Coordinate and witness field testing activities. Review and evaluate test procedures and reports and track open issues to resolution. Coordinate and develop positive relationships with contractors and their staff. Participate in meetings with other design disciplines, contractors, and client staff, assist with and participate in presentations and public hearings/reviews relative to assigned projects.Here's what you'll need Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical/Electronic preferred) or significant industry experience is required. Substantial years of engineering experience in the design and/or implementation of rail/transit systems is required. Established track record of successful project delivery for major rail/transit system or technology projects. Knowledge of rolling stock and CBTC systems including interfacing onboard CBTC systems on rolling stock. Able to interact with clients, establish relationships, and articulate complex conceptsPreferred A license in Professional Engineering, and/or equivalent is desirable.Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
