The Opportunity
Client is seeking a Traction Power Engineer to join our growing team. This is a 100% remote position supporting major light rail and EV infrastructure projects nationwide .
This role offers a unique long-term leadership path. The owner intends to retire in approximately 12 years and is seeking a strong technical leader who has the ambition and capability to grow into a future ownership role within the company.

Key Responsibilities
Design DC traction power substations and rail electrification systems
Lead engineering for light rail and transit power distribution systems
Support EV charging infrastructure design and integration
Develop design concepts, drawings, technical specifications, and engineering reports
Perform traction power studies and cost estimates
Conduct field assessments and provide technical recommendations
Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and deliverables
Interface directly with clients and prime consultants
Mentor junior engineers and CAD/Revit designersMaintain project documentation and quality control
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Power emphasis preferred)
5+ years of experience in rail transit traction power systems
Strong experience in light rail projects
EV infrastructure experience strongly preferred
Proficiency in Revit (required)
Experience with traction power modeling software is a plus
PE license preferred (or ability to obtain)
Strong technical, leadership, and communication skills
Detail-oriented with ability to deliver on time and within budget
