Our team is known for leveraging advanced analytics across core competencies while building enduring infrastructure and knowledge bases that support integrated services and long-term outcomes.​Position Summary:Pantheon is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain the data foundation supporting a financial intelligence module within an existing application ecosystem. This role will focus on data integration, transformation, quality, scalability, performance, and reliability to ensure frontend, analytics, and application features are supported by clean, accessible, and well-structured data. The ideal candidate will work closely with application developers, analysts, and technical teams to integrate financial and operational data into a scalable and maintainable product architecture. Key Responsibilities: ·       Design and support data pipelines, integrations, transformations, and backend data processes for the financial intelligence module.·       Work with existing databases, APIs, application frameworks, hosting environments, and development standards.·       Integrate financial and related operational data into the existing application ecosystem while supporting future scalability.·       Build or support data structures that serve frontend features, analytical models, exports, notifications, and application workflows.·       Develop source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, validation rules, and data quality checks.·       Support integration with databases such as Cosmos DB, relational databases, cloud storage, APIs, files, and other structured or semi-structured sources.·       Coordinate with the existing application team to align with current architecture, security, authentication, deployment, and hosting standards.·       Work with the Data Scientist / Financial Analyst to support model-ready datasets and analytical processing needs.·       Work with the Frontend Developer to provide performant, reliable data services for user-facing features.·       Troubleshoot data issues, refresh failures, latency problems, schema changes, and integration gaps.·       Document data lineage, architecture, transformations, assumptions, and dependencies.​Qualifications·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience·       Strong experience with SQL and/or NoSQL database environments, data engineering, and data integration·       Experience with APIs, ETL/ELT processes, Python, backend data services, and cloud-based data environments·       Ability to structure and optimize data for analytics, reporting, application functionality, and model development·       Understanding of data quality, lineage, validation, performance optimization, and maintainability·       Experience working within established technical ecosystems and integrating new modules into existing applications·       Familiarity with Azure, Cosmos DB, cloud-hosted applications, data lakes, or related technologies preferred·       Experience supporting Government, DoD, Navy, financial management, logistics, contracting, or operational data environments preferred·       Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills with the ability to support cross-functional teams·       Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance SalaryPantheon offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including health insurance contributions, 401(k) matching, and other non-salary benefits.
