Patients receive daily nursing care and a minimum of two hours/day of PT, OT, & SLP. TCU has 24 patient rooms, 18 private and 6 semi-private. Patients come for 10-12 days to recover, get stronger, and go home. Patients come to rehab at TCU for post-op care, wound care, teaching/training for new diagnoses, IV therapy, pain & chronic illness management.Census up to 24:7A = 3-4 licensed nurses - generally 2-3 RNs and 1-2 LPNs depending on census; 2-3 CNAs.7P = 2-3 licensed nurses - RN/LPN combination; 2 CNAsHow you'll contributeA Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role:Follows the plan of care established by the professional nurse and collaborates with member of the health care team.Recognizes, reports, and documents changes in the patient's condition.Observes and documents the patient's physiological condition such as appearance, vital signs, level of consciousness, or change in behavior and reports this to RN.Demonstrates skill and knowledge in carrying out and documenting all nursing interventions ordered by physician (i.e.: administration of medications, treatments, assistance with ADL; s etc.)Demonstrates patient's response to interventions carried out.Consistently provides and documents reinforcement of patient teaching.Why join usWe believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
