Job Summary: As the Accounting and Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. You will be responsible for managing the accounting duties of the administrative staff, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. Your expertise in financial analysis, risk management, accounting, and process improvement will be essential in driving the company's financial performance and achieving its long-term objectives. Responsibilities: Accounting Operations: · Manage the day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll. · Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and relevant tax laws. · Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements. · Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting transactions. · Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risks. · Financial Management: · Develop and implement financial systems, policies, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. · Monitor the financial performance of the company, analyzing variances, and identifying areas for improvement. Provide recommendations to optimize financial results. · Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and financial forecasts to senior management. · Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with relevant departments to align financial plans with strategic goals. Financial Analysis and Planning: · Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Provide insights and recommendations to drive profitability and financial performance. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop financial models, business cases, and investment strategies. · Evaluate the financial viability of new projects, initiatives, and potential acquisitions. · Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, tracking progress towards financial targets. · Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, including GAAP and statutory reporting requirements. · Coordinate external audits and facilitate the resolution of audit findings. Audit Support & Management: · Assist in conducting audits of projects to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines. · Coordinate external audits and facilitate the resolution of audit findings. · Review project documentation, including contracts, progress reports, and invoices, to verify accuracy and adherence to requirements. · Collaborate with project teams to gather necessary information and supporting documentation for audits. · Assist in performing on-site inspections to assess project progress and compliance. · Prepare detailed audit reports, including findings, recommendations, and corrective actions. · Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive audit-related information. · Collaborate with internal teams to implement best practices and ensure compliance with requirements. · Assist in developing and updating internal audit procedures and guidelines. Team Leadership and Development: · Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship. · Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth. · Distribute workload effectively, set performance goals, and conduct performance evaluations for team members. Qualifications and Skills: · Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). · Professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) is highly desirable. · Proven experience (5-10 years) in finance and accounting roles, with progressive responsibility. · Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial analysis. · Proficiency in financial management systems, Quickbooks & ERP software, and MS Office Suite. · Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. · Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial data analysis. · Strong organizational and time management abilities. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. · Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
