Regional Sales Manager (Surgical Robotics)

Position: Regional Sales ManagerLocation: Flexible within LATAM countryCompany OverviewOur client is a fast-growing Chinese medical technology company specializing in robotic-assisted surgery systems. The company has developed a flagship four-arm laparoscopic surgical robot designed for minimally invasive procedures.With strong engineering and clinical collaboration capabilities, the company is now in an aggressive phase of global commercialization and R&D expansion, aiming to bring its next-generation surgical robotic platform into key international markets, including Europe, EMEA, APAC and LATAM.The organization combines deep robotics expertise with a strong clinical focus, targeting improved surgical precision, reduced invasiveness, and enhanced operating room efficiency.Role DescriptionThis role will lead the commercial expansion across LATAM for advanced surgical robotic systems. You will be responsible for building market presence, driving hospital adoption, and establishing distribution / direct sales channels in key European markets.Depending on experience, the role may be positioned at Manager or Director level, with increasing responsibility for strategy, team building, and regional P&L ownership.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute regional go-to-market strategy across Europe for robotic surgical systemsDrive direct sales and/or distributor-led sales into top-tier hospitals, academic medical centers, and surgical networksBuild and manage relationships with key stakeholders including:Surgeons (general surgery, urology, gynecology, etc.)Hospital procurement teamsClinical KOLs and training centersEstablish and scale distribution partnerships where applicableLead complex capital equipment sales cycles (typically 12–24 months)Coordinate clinical evaluations, demonstrations, and surgical training programsSupport regulatory, tender, and reimbursement-related discussions with local teamsProvide structured market feedback to HQ on product positioning, competition, and clinical needsBuild out regional commercial infrastructure (sales team, clinical specialists) as business scales (Director level scope)Preferred BackgroundProven experience in surgical robotics, advanced surgical equipment, endoscopy, or large capital medical devicesStrong exposure to hospital-based capital sales in LATAMExperience in one or more of the following strongly preferred:Robotic surgical systems (e.g., multi-arm platforms)Advanced endoscopy / minimally invasive surgery systemsLarge equipment sales (e.g., imaging, OR integration, interventional platforms)Background in companies such as:Surgical robotics OEMsEndoscopy leadersLarge medtech capital equipment firmsKey CompetenciesStrong track record in long-cycle, high-value capital salesAbility to engage and influence senior clinical stakeholders (surgeons / department heads)Experience managing distributors and/or hybrid direct sales modelsStrategic thinking with strong execution capability in fragmented European marketsComfortable working in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment with evolving structureStrong cross-cultural communication (LATAM market + Asian HQ alignment)
