We are currently sourcing for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to work at Fidelity in Durham, NC!The Health Care Technology Group (HCG) supports the recordkeeping and administration of Health Benefits (Medical, Dental and Vision plans) as well as the Health Savings and Reimbursement Account plans on behalf of Fidelity's corporate clients, their employees and retirees. The Technology associates on the HCG Platform team interact with Business partners as well as Systems partners who have responsibility for client-facing channels such as NetBenefits. The development teams are located across USA and India. Team size is 150+ resources across IT and Product organized into highly motivated team who develop and deliver using Agile Methodology.The Health Care Technology Group (HCG) Team is looking to fill an exciting and results-oriented position on its development team. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be a senior member, encouraged to supply to the technical leadership and center of competence within the HCG team. This includes:Supplying to the HCG team of developers and Tech leads with specific emphasis on sound fundamental development methodology.Providing leadership on project development policies, procedures, standards and strategies.Participating in the HCG team's effort to improve the efficiency and quality of the entire development process.The Expertise You Have:3 - 5 years of technical development experience at a senior engineer level.Bachelor's DegreeExcellent knowledge of REST concepts and developing REST API's using Spring boot with TomcatObject-oriented analysis and design experienceStrong understanding of Java 8 capabilities, lambda, streams and functional interfacesExcellent SQL and database concepts to work with large databasesGood understanding of Cloud engineering conceptsGood aptitude to quickly grasp newer concepts, learn on the fly and apply them in day to day work.Smart analytical skills to derive relevant inferences from data sets and then apply those inferences to resolve business challenges.Understand business problems, seek right solutions to tackle the problem and break it down into easy to follow action items for the team.The Skills You Bring:You excel in a collaborative environment tackling new challengesYour communication with peers and leaders is clear and effectiveYou help provide technical leadership and direction to an upbeat and dynamic teamYou are willing and excited to lend your voice and opinion to the discussionYou love to take initiative to tackle a problem and get the job doneThe Value You Deliver:Providing the team with technical guidance and mentoring junior team members.Coordinating and leading research into new technologies independently, as part of a team and with the Architecture team to make judgment and recommendations for future releases.Contributing to a teamwork environment by actively participating in peer code reviews, design reviews and being available to help others when needed.
