Construction Project Manager – Water/WastewaterCompensation: $140,000 – $240,000 base + per diem/LOA (for travel roles) + comprehensive benefitsLocations: Multiple office locations across CA, CO, and ID or project-based assignments nationwide (federal/travel team)Start Date: ImmediateOverviewWe are seeking experienced Construction Project Managers (PMs and Sr. PMs) to support a growing portfolio of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the western U.S. and on federal projects nationwide.These roles are available in two primary formats:Office-Based Roles: Supporting regional and local projects out of one of our established offices (listed below), with limited travel depending on project needsTraveling Federal Team: Supporting complex, remote, or federally funded projects across the U.S., often on a rotation schedule with per diem, housing, and travel support providedThis is an opportunity to join a high-performing team delivering critical infrastructure projects ranging from municipal upgrades to complex, logistically challenging installations.Must-Have QualificationsProven project management experience delivering water and/or wastewater construction projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeoutStrong understanding of mechanical/process systems, including equipment installation, startup, and commissioning coordinationDemonstrated success managing: Project budgets, forecasting, and cost control, Change management processes, Project schedules and procurement workflowsHigh level of administrative rigor, including documentation, submittals, RFIs, inspections, and compliance trackingStrong communication and coordination skills across internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendorsPreferred QualificationsExperience on federal projects with strict compliance, documentation, and billing requirementsBackground working for a general contractor and/or subcontractor in public works or industrial environmentsDegree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (PE license a plus)Experience supporting: Remote or travel-based project teams, Rotation schedules, per diem, and field logisticsExperience on projects ranging from $5M to $30M+, including multi-phase scopesExperience working in challenging environments (remote sites, restricted access, complex logistics)Key ResponsibilitiesLead execution of water/wastewater construction projects from planning through commissioning and closeoutDevelop and manage comprehensive project plans covering: Scope, Schedule, Procurement, Staffing and logistics (especially for remote/travel roles)Oversee commissioning to ensure systems operate safely and meet design and acceptance criteriaManage financial performance including: Budgeting and forecasting, Cost-to-complete tracking, Risk and contingency planningLead change management from identification through executionMaintain high-quality project documentation to ensure compliance and timely paymentPartner with field teams to uphold strong safety standards and cultureCoordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project deliveryManage procurement and vendor relationships to meet project timelinesProactively solve logistical and sequencing challenges, particularly on complex or remote projectsProvide clear reporting on schedule, cost, risks, and key decisionsWork Environment & FlexibilityOffice-Based Roles: Primarily based out of one of our regional offices with project oversight responsibilities and occasional site visitsOffice Locations:California - Livermore (Corporate HQ), Escondido (Southwest HQ), Lathrop (Northwest HQ), Valencia, BakersfieldColorado - Lafayette (Mountain HQ)Idaho - Boise, Twin Falls, PocatelloTraveling/Federal Roles: Assigned to projects nationwide, often in remote or high-complexity environments - Rotation schedules may apply (e.g., 8 days on / 6 days off or similar) - Company-supported travel, housing, and per diem providedWhy JoinOpportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects that directly impact communitiesExposure to a wide range of project types—from local municipal work to complex federal buildsStrong team culture focused on quality execution, collaboration, and long-term fitCareer growth across both regional leadership and traveling project opportunities
