Process Improvement Engineer

Since 1940, we’ve remained committed to creating better textiles—delivered seamlessly by experts who care.The Process Improvement Engineer is responsible for analyzing current business processes, assisting management in the implementation of operational improvements and working on projects with manufacturing teams.Responsibilities IncludeImprove operation costs, quality and turn time Recommend and implement changes to safety procedures, work methods, and labor standardsWork on productivity improvement projects and initiate or manage cost reduction strategiesIdentify areas to reduce waste in manufacturing processes using the LEAN methodologyComplete programs and projects on time and on budgetCollect, analyze and present engineering data to evaluate projectsRequires the ability to identify cost reduction opportunities, estimate cost impact, research available solutions and implement projectsEducate others on lean manufacturing and/or process improvement programsCollaborate with the process development team to facilitate new products, process improvements and new technologyConduct and lead project meetingsWork to resolve issues, improve quality, reduce customer complaints, ensure consistent batch quality and improve material yieldCoordinate plant layouts, machine installation and start-up processesQualifications IncludeBachelor’s degree in EngineeringExperience in textile manufacturing processes preferredStrong skills in Microsoft Office suiteKnowledge with LEAN, Six Sigma, DMAIC, Kaizen and/or Pareto AnalysisProudly, Standard Textile has earned a title of US Best Managed Company for the sixth year running, an honor awarded by Deloitte Private and The Wall Street Journal, celebrating the exceptional achievements of American private companies and their management teams.Standard Textile is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities.Join us!
