Job Summary Flagship Culinary Services helps some of the world's largest high-tech companies provide high-quality dining experiences for their employees, clients and visitors. Our highly qualified staff support our culinary program in preparing tasty and nutritious food, made from scratch, with a strong emphasis on local and organically grown ingredients. Compensation: $21.00 per hour.
Responsibilities Maintain Front-of-House standards to ensure superior service.
Create, edit, print, cut, and display daily food cards for each service.
Design café signage with ingredient lists and allergen symbols.
Receive and act on Chef communications regarding menu changes.
Serve as host/hostess during all service hours and support kitchen staff with special guest needs.
Inspect dining room serving stations and tables for cleanliness and tidy condition; re-stock supplies, prepare beverages, and expedite orders.
Stock salad bar and deli stations while maintaining safety and sanitation procedures (OSHA, Department of Public Health, Risk Management).
Receive and reconcile vendor invoices; upload daily meal counts, logs, and pastry counts.
Review and edit front-of-house menus and the Digital Menu Board for accurate spelling and punctuation.
Ensure consistent quality of prepared items by following tasting templates and proper rotation and storage of goods.
Taste all food prepared to ensure flavor, freshness, and quality.
Maintain a clean and organized station; continually seek opportunities to improve the customer experience.
Accommodate any special needs of guests.
Monitor the number of guests entering the café and re-stock utensils, plates, glasses, and napkins.
Coordinate and direct daily tasks to ensure quality of production and a positive workflow.
Provide consistent communication to management on operational tasks and team effectiveness.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements Strong understanding of food and allergens, and knowledge of corporate kitchens.
Exceptional personal record of punctuality and attendance.
Active management-level food handler certification (e.g., ServSafe or local/state equivalent).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Publisher).
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a diverse working environment.
Food industry knowledge and understanding of industry terms and products.
Interpersonal and organizational skills.
High school diploma.
Minimum 1 year of related industry experience.
