New Leaf will be accepting applications for the Floor Care Lead position from 01/05/2026 - 01/16/2026 Job Description The Floor Care Lead manages and works with a small team of floor care professionals who service facilities on Naval Air Station - Whidbey Island. Services include stripping and waxing, topscrubbing, recoating. vacuuming, shampooing carpets, and care and maintenance of floor care equipment. IMPORTANT: This job is on base at Naval Air-Station Whidbey Island, so you will be required to get a base pass before you start work. To get a base pass, you must have REAL-ID compliant ID. Pay & Benefits $24.00/Hour (Current Department of Labor Wage Determination Rate) Health & Welfare benefit ($5.09/Hour) pays for health insurance after 60 days of employment. Optional dental & vision – cost is out of pocket. 11 Paid holidays Paid sick leave – accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked Up to 2 weeks paid vacation per year after one year of employment 401k matching after one year of employment, up to 4% Paid Life insurance: $50,000 after 90 days of employment Longevity stipend with Board of Directors approval Schedule: Monday-Friday 6pm - 2am, totaling 35-40 hours per week. Potential for on-call time and varying hours depending on need, including one hour on one weekend per month. (Rotating basis.) Requirements Real-ID compliant ID Valid Driver's license. This position requires driving. This is a Working Supervisor role – will be required to understand and perform Floor Care functions with crew. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, and other agencies. Prior management experience highly preferred. Ability to pass background check at time of hire and for duration of employment. Felonies prohibit base access. Responsibilities include Inspect work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards. Regularly prepare reports on activity and personnel. Floor care includes sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, burnishing, and scrubbing, requiring use of a buffer and an auto-scrubber machine. Physical Requirements and Essential Functions Ability to endure up to 8 hours a day of standing and walking. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Must be able to reach, kneel, walk, stand and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time. Ability to adapt to changing schedules and routines. Must be able to work well with others. Good time management skills. Must carry out instructions and pay attention to detail. Maintains professionalism in both appearance and demeanor. Must wear full length pants and close-toed shoes
