Senior Design Engineer
Leading Edge Composites, www.Lec-Composites.com located in the Highlands Corporate Park in Coatesville, is a full service, fully integrated design, engineering and manufacturing firm specializing in Aviation, Aerospace and Defense.
We currently have available a Senior Design Engineer opening in our composite manufacturing shop.
How you will spend your time as our Senior Design Engineer:
· Lead engineer on design programs within the department; Responsible for program/project management (schedule, budget, action items) as well as reporting
· Conceptual and detailed design of composite components and assemblies
· Perform and present gated design reviews with both internal staff, as well as with customers at specific times in the design lifecycle of components
· Ability to perform and review detailed finite element structural analysis of composites and assemblies to investigate performance to customer requirements
· Conceptual design of composite components and assemblies to support proposals
· Generate solid and surface components and assembly CAD models
· Develop innovative solutions to customer requirements for composite components designs
· Work as part of a team of design engineers and manufacturing staff to bring designs through the life cycle of the project
You will be successful if you have the following:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 5-10+ years relevant work experience
· Experience with detailed composite part/assembly design analysis is required
· Experience with composite part fabrication and assembly is required
· Advanced working knowledge of Solidworks 2015 or later and/or CATIA V5 R2016 or later.
· All Microsoft Office software including Project 2010 or later
· Ability to read and interpret technical data
· Great problem solving and communication skills
· Flexible work schedule to support delivery process and meet customer expectations.
· Ability to work on projects demanding fast prototype/production startups
· Ability to work with vendors, customers and employees
· Experience leading high performance teams in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to maintain safe work environment
