Registered Nurse (RN) | Telemetry Location: Boise, ID Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,968 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Boise, Idaho, 83712! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must have post-procedural cardiac experience (cath lab, ablations, open heart). Prior travel experience is preferred, but not required. Must be able to read and interpret telemetry and document it appropriately. Description: Telemetry unit requiring 2 years of experience. Staffing includes floating between two units as needed. The unit has a total of 55 beds overall. The nurse-to-patient ratios are generally 1:4. Experience in cardiac care, specifically post-operative procedures, is essential. Common patient diagnoses include post-procedural overflow, CHF, sepsis, and electrolyte imbalances. Heparin and insulin titrations may be required; training can be provided for insulin. Charge nurses are present on each shift but typically do not take patient assignments. Certified nursing assistants are on staff to assist with patient care. Respiratory Therapy is available on each floor to manage high respiratory needs. Registered nurses are expected to read and interpret telemetry strips twice per shift. Scheduling is typically completed six weeks in advance, with flexibility required from travelers. Weekend shifts may be required, with potential requests for holiday coverage. Travelers are prioritized for floating to other medical-surgical units as needed. The facility is traveler-friendly and treats travelers as permanent staff.
