We reward innovation, hard work, and support a culture of sustainability.IMEGis growing, and we'd love to have you join our team!Wearecurrently seeking aSenior Planner in ourBillings, MT office.As aSenior Planneryou will be responsible forleading the design efforts on all project types, act as the project manager on less complex site projects and assist a senior project manager in project management on more complex site projects. There will be a responsibility for working closely with both internal team colleagues, as well as other IMEG land development professionals that are involved in the land development process for the respective project.Primary responsibilities will include plan design, plan processing and plan implementation through the project design process. In this position, the expectation is to manage the project's budget to meet the project goals and client expectations. The role will also involve leading and mentoring the team's planner graduates and project planners.Some Key Duties and Responsibilities Include: Completes and reviews land planning and zoning research and calculations for associated plans and studiesPrepares and reviews land use and zoning analysis summary memos and site evaluation studiesCompletes and reviews entitlement drawing submission packagesCompletes and reviews various exhibits, presentation graphics and renderingsCompletes and reviews lot yield sketches and master plansCompletes technical support tasks for condemnation project workProject management on less complex site projects, including budgeting, scheduling, billing, determining staff needs, attending meetings and addressing client concerns and deliverablesTrain, mentor and motivate staffBuild, maintain and develop client relationshipsKey Skills and Abilities Needed For The Position Are: Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and OutlookAdvanced Proficiency with AutoCADAdvanced Experience with Adobe Suite and SketchUpGood research skills and strong technical design skillsGood analysis and problem solving skills, with an attention to detailGood written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentGood organizational skills, particularly with regard to project managementAbility to sell work and develop client relationshipsAbility to mentor, train, motivate and lead othersDemonstrates leadership traits in the Project Management career pathEagerness to learn and adapt to new challengesEducation and Experience Requirements Are: Bachelor's Degree (Planning, Environmental Studies, Architecture or Arts) or equivalent requiredAmerican Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) Certification preferred, but not required7 years minimum experience required, 8 preferred, in land developmentOR Associates degree and/or AICP Certification Preferred11 years minimum experience required, 12 preferred, in land developmentThis position is not eligible for sponsorshipIMEG, an employee-owned corporation, is committed to investing in employees' futures through professional development programs and opportunities for career advancement.We offer a comprehensive benefits package including generous PTO, flexible schedule, and assistance with tuition reimbursement.
