These aspects include researching OEM design and release documents, product development documents, plant installation drawings, parts detail drawings, technical service bulletins, CAD data and hands-on procedures on prototype vehicles. Develop efficient, concise, and technically accurate owner information and mobile app content for our OEM clients. Development may be in multiple formats (including web based) and may involve interface with multiple clients both internal and external as well as cross regional. Regardless of customer location, deliverable or style, this position must ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks which maintain compliance to both corporate and customer standards.Duties/ResponsibilitiesAccurately research and develop applicable content using client supplied information.Follow current content development procedures and processes as necessary to ensure deliverable meets or exceeds client expectations.Document open issues and follow through on resolution and inclusion.Complete assignments to support existing business and new business, including new products and services.Identify obstacles that may occur during production, respond to changing priorities and adjust accordingly.Follow-up on all client feedback and ensure all client revisions/discussions are incorporated and distributed to the teams for action.Travel to client assembly facilities to collect information from prototype vehicles.Work within and supports a team environmentDemonstrate innovative thinking to ensure process continue to run efficientlyBasic QualificationsTwo years experience in a technical publication or writing field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Basic knowledge of passenger cars and trucks.Desired Skills And AbilitiesASE Master Automobile Technician Certification preferred.2 years in a related automotive field.Adobe PDF markup and comment tools experience.Proficient in XML/DITA based authoring environment.Photography experience.Basic Adobe Photo Shop and Illustrator experience.Understating of FMVSS rules (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards) as it applies to owner manuals.Understating of NHTSA rules (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) as it applies to owner manuals.Physical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Standing for prolonged periods of time in excess of 6 hours, but less than 8.Working in non-climate controlled and outdoor spaces such as manufacturing plants, garages, and parking lots.Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.Located reasonable distance from office for in office and some remote work.Travel RequirementsPossible travel to North America, Japan, South America, Mexico for owner guide vehicle validation and development needs.Possible travel to Tweddle headquarters (North America) for training, customer meetings and general customer interaction.Tweddle Group is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
