LNC Services, Co., an environmental consulting company with opportunities for people interested in a temporary job or pursuing careers in marine construction, disaster recovery, and/or environmental engineering. Soon, the Great Egg Harbor Inlet to Townsends Inlet Beach Nourishment Project will begin in Cape May County, NJ for beach renourishiment to restore the beach. WHAT: $200/day for Beach Access Monitors (security and public safety on active construction site) & Beach Construction Escorts (ensure heavy equipment doesn't impact birds or nests) NeededWHERE: Upper Township and Sea Isle City, New Jersey (hotel provided if you're not local)WHO: LNC Services, Co. (environmental consulting) with Norfolk Dredging Company (marine construction) for United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)WHEN: start date is early June; project should last about 60 days/nights (day and night shifts available)WHY: To add sand back to beaches, raising the dune to restore the beach from erosion - Access Monitors protect the site and keep the public safe from dangerous conditions; Construction Escorts make sure equipment moves and is places in areas free of nesting birds and nests, and keep the public safe from dangerous conditions. These positions are entry-level and often lead to work on additional projects in the same role, and provide experience and opportunities to move on to different and permanent roles in this industry.
