Present in the international markets, it meets the specific needs of each client in various industries, more specifically the food, medical and personal care industries.About the Role: The Logistics & Purchasing Agent reports to the Buyer & Logistics Supervisor and is responsible for supporting procurement and logistics as needed. Assisting in researching goods and services, processing purchase orders, and verifying delivered items for the procurement department. Assisting in shipping & receiving and warehouse inventory as needed in logistics.Responsibilities: Assist in researching and comparing suppliers, goods, and servicesMonitoring inventory levels and determining purchase needsAssist with following up on cost proposals and contractsPreparing and processing purchase ordersMaintaining records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and paymentsScheduling and verifying purchase deliveriesBuilding and maintaining positive, long-term supplier relationsAssemble orders and prepare goods for shipments. Assist with receiving materials and supplies; and stocking those received goods. Pull parts for orders, package & shipAssist with inventory control processesAssist with inventory auditsRequirements: High school diploma or GED requiredDegree in business administration, procurement, or a related field preferredBilingual in English and Spanish requiredPrevious experience in procurement and logisticsProficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly ExcelProficiency in inventory management software programsAbility to lift 50 pounds. Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task when needed.
