Lead Maintenance Mechanic – JLLWhat this job involves:As Lead Maintenance Mechanic, you'll lead the operational management and daily leadership of our engineering team to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of critical building systems and machinery. You'll be responsible for protecting and enhancing the value of client assets through implementation of reliability-based maintenance programs, equipment monitoring, and maintenance best practices. Your focus will be achieving 100% uptime while maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and meeting all client needs. You'll play a critical role in ensuring building engineering systems perform their intended functions, continuously evaluating and improving maintenance, operations, and reliability methods to maximize performance and value for JLL's clients.What your day-to-day will look like:Monitor and maintain refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and electrical equipment while reviewing operational logs to ensure proper equipment function and reporting any malfunctions immediatelyOversee HVAC system repairs and preventive maintenance programs, performing hands-on preventive tasks when required and managing UPS systems and generator functionsManage contractor and vendor activities within the building, supervise workflow, and assign work orders to engineering team members or vendors to ensure completion within SLA standardsMaintain adequate inventory of tools and supplies through purchase order preparation, developing supplier relationships, and conducting periodic inventory and equipment condition checksIdentify safety hazards and implement remediation plans, administer safety training programs, and ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulatory laws and guidelinesMaintain comprehensive infrastructure and compliance documentation including up-to-date building drawings, single-line diagrams, and all regulatory compliance records required by lawCollaborate with the site Operations Manager and work with Local QRA and EH&S Management to ensure ongoing compliance with safety standards and scope of work requirementsRequired Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of experience as Lead Technician or Technician II in building engineering or facilities managementStrong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated experience in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical systems, and building infrastructureProven leadership abilities with willingness to take ownership and accountability for team performance and building operationsUnderstanding of UPS systems, generator functions, and critical building systems operationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting, documentation, and stakeholder interactionProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and other computer-based maintenance management systemsExperience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for work order assignment and trackingFamiliarity with scope of work (SOW) agreements and vendor management processesKnowledge of regulatory compliance documentation requirements for commercial building operationsExperience collaborating with Quality Risk Assessment (QRA) and Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) teamsLocation: OnsiteWork Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
