Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Carpenter to spearhead our construction and restoration projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and efficient project execution. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise construction crews, including framing, trim carpentry, drywall installation, and finishing work
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide project execution
Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to project schedules
Perform or oversee skilled tasks such as concrete forming, rebar installation, roofing, siding, and fixture installation
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively
Conduct quality inspections to ensure work meets industry standards and client specifications
Manage heavy lifting operations and ensure safety protocols are strictly followed on site
Oversee restoration projects involving mold remediation, water damage repair, plastering, stucco application, and flooring installation
Collaborate with clients and team members to resolve issues promptly and maintain excellent communication throughout projects
Maintain detailed documentation of project progress, safety reports, and material inventories
Skills
Extensive experience in construction estimating and project planning
Proficiency in various carpentry disciplines including woodworking, metal stud framing, cabinet installation, door hanging, and drywall finishing
Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and fabrication techniques
Experience with concrete forming, masonry work, plumbing, electrical systems, roofing, siding, tile laying, flooring installation, and remodeling projects
Familiarity with restoration industry practices such as mold remediation and water damage restoration
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining focus on safety standards
Excellent communication skills for coordinating teams and liaising with clients
Knowledge of schematics for fixture installation or electrical wiring is a plus
Hands-on experience with construction painting, caulking, stucco application, metal stud framing or assembly work
