Primary duties include taking and recording vital signs, assisting patients with hygiene and elimination, ensuring the safety of the patient, and maintaining a clean and safe unit environment. Recognizes and reports changes in the patient's condition, takes appropriate action and accurately documents all activities as required. Receives and accurately inventories and secures patient belongings as appropriateAssists patient with hygiene, elimination, routine skin care, comfort measures and other Activities of Daily Living (ADL), in consideration of patient age, gender, culture and stated preferences, maintaining patient privacy and respect at all times. Assumes responsibility for maintaining a clean & safe environment. Ensures Infection Control procedures and HIPAA compliance.Assists with patient care activities as directed by licensed nurse, including specimen collection/transport, turning & positioning, and patient transportation.Actively engages in caring behaviors, taking conscious ownership for work and takes a proactive, deliberate, and thoughtful actions regarding work activities. Demonstrates appropriate use of independent judgement and decision making.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED (or equivalent)Current and active CNA certification in CaliforniaAHA Basic Life SupportUnderstanding of basic medical terminologyMust be able to read, write and communicate effectively in EnglishMust demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobStrong interpersonal, customer service, and patient-care skills; ability to work as part of a team and follow nursing supervision.Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and ability to maintain HIPAA confidentialityMust be physically able to perform the tasks of CNA patient care: lifting/transferring patients, assisting with ADLs, standing/walking for shifts.You'd be great for the role if:1 or more years of paid experience working as a CNA in a healthcare settingEnvironmental Job Requirements and Working ConditionsOur organization follows an in person work structure where the expectation is to work onsite on a weekly basis. The hospital is located at 14662 Newport Ave, Tustin, CA 92780.The total compensation target pay range for this role is $20.00 - $30.00 per hour.
