Project Controls Specialist

Title: Project Controls Specialist (Primavera P6) – ContractLocation: Lexington, KY or Louisville, KY (Travel 1 week/month)Duration: 12-month contract Overview:A leading engineering firm is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to support large-scale engineering and construction projects. This role is heavily focused on Primavera P6 scheduling, cost controls, and forecasting, working closely with project management teams to ensure projects stay on track and within budget.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6Build and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)Analyze schedules using Critical Path Method (CPM)Create and maintain cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow analysisSupport earned value management (EVM) processesMonitor schedule progress, resource loading, and performance metricsRun reports and analyze project data within enterprise systemsReview and support purchase orders, subcontracts, and change ordersPartner with project managers and accounting on cost tracking and auditsConduct schedule what-if scenarios and forecasting analysisSupport project planning meetings and provide scheduling insightsPerform audits and quality checks on project controls deliverablesRequirements:3+ years of project controls experience in engineering or constructionStrong experience with Primavera P6 (required)Experience with CPM scheduling, cost tracking, and forecastingFamiliarity with earned value management (EVM)Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeEquity Staffing Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers all qualified applicants in accordance with applicable employment laws.
