To function as an expert liaison with internal departments (i.e. QA, Customer Service, R&D, etc.) regarding the exchange and coordinationof information required by our customers. Interface with multiple cross-functional internal groups/departments to execute timely and accurate completion of projects/assignments.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.The Sr. Regulatory Affairs Fragrance Specialist is required to prepare and provide the following information/certification as required by our internal and external customers (including but not limited to):Provide day-to-day regulatory and safety guidance to R&D teams for compliance with Fragrance Industry Standards.Complete client questionnaires/requests for information (RFI’s)Coordinate, prepare and review regulatory documents/certifications required for domestic and/or international projects (i.e. Specification Sheets, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Fragrance Allergens, IFRA, Country of Origin, Formula Disclosure, etc.)Knowledge of EPA and other related disclosure programs e.g. Safer choice and WERCSmart.Knowledge of Cosmetic Regulations including MOCRA and China Cosmetic Registrations.Conduct raw material assessments for safety and regulatory compliance.Knowledge and awareness of flavor regulations a plus.Utilize relevant information, internal tools and individual judgment to determine whether fragrance formulae comply with laws, regulations, and/or standardsRepresent Lucta at Industry Meetings and advocate for the fragrance Industry.Continuous Improvement of Regulatory Processes, tools and internal training.Provide technical support and instruction to lower-level professional personnel as requiredExperienceMinimum of 5- 10 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs or product safety, within the fragrance industry.Demonstrate expertise in IFRA Standards, and Product Safety of Fragrance CompoundsExcellent Knowledge of OSHA and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and the information necessary to complete a SDS.Subject matter expert.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilities, however working with various departments and building consensus is critical.QualificationsTo perform in this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Mathematical SkillsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, multiplication, and other basic match calculations as it pertains to the position.Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
