That obsession runs through the engineering work too, and we're hiring a mid-level full-stack engineer to help carry it forward.You'll work on a headless commerce stack (Shopify Plus, Hydrogen, Oxygen, and Sanity) with direct access to leadership.What You'll Work OnBuilding features for luxome.com using TypeScript, React, and Shopify Hydrogen, with content served from Sanity CMSMaintaining our Shopify Plus stack: custom apps, connectors, and Shopify Functions (Rust)Integrating third-party services via GraphQL, REST, and webhooksSupporting Google Cloud microservices that power our commerce infrastructurePartnering with marketing and design (Figma) to translate business needs into shipped codeContributing to bigger initiatives as they come up: wholesale, retail, international expansion, returns infrastructure How You WorkYou like to dive deep and understand a problem fully, not just its symptomsYou build with the customer in mind, not just the specYou make sound tradeoff calls and know when to raise a flagYou're effective cross-functionally, working directly with marketing, design, and opsWhat We're Looking For2–4 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in eCommerce or a consumer productStrong working knowledge of TypeScript, React, and modern JavaScriptComfort with at least one backend language (Node, Python, Ruby, Go, etc.)Working knowledge of REST and GraphQLAble to commute to our Birmingham, MI office 5 days per weekNice to HaveExperience with headless commerce (Hydrogen, Next.js Commerce, or similar)Headless CMS experience (Sanity, Contentful, etc.)Background working closely with marketing or design teams What We Offer$100,000–$125,000 base salary, depending on experienceMedical, dental, and vision — partially employer-paid401(k) with employer matchA 6,000 sq ft office in Birmingham, MI — you will work directly with senior leadership, and our Chief Happiness Officer (our founder’s dog, Lux) is usually somewhere underfoot Free product, 45% employee discount, 25% friends-and-family discountQuarterly team eventsOur ProcessWe'll email you to let you know if you're moving forwardA 30-minute phone or in-person screen with the hiring managerA technical round — may include coding, systems design, problem solving, or a walk-through of past work.
