Senior Software Engineer, Web (1099 Contract) Location: Rochester, MN (Remote with occasional onsite visits) Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor Experience: 10+ Years About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer, Web to join a leading U.S.-based organization. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and Python. You will independently deliver full-stack features, support production applications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build reliable, high-quality software solutions. This position is primarily remote; however, occasional onsite visits to the Rochester, Minnesota office will be required. Candidates must be currently located in the United States and be able to travel to the office when needed. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain web applications using React, TypeScript, and Python. Deliver full-stack features from design through deployment. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to ensure application reliability. Support and maintain existing production applications. Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and infrastructure teams. Coordinate with infrastructure and endpoint teams to support application performance. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following software engineering best practices. Required Qualifications 10+ years of professional software engineering experience. Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and Python. Solid understanding of browser-based web applications and modern web technologies. Proven ability to independently design, develop, test, and deliver software solutions. Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools as part of the software development lifecycle. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with PowerShell scripting. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Experience in healthcare or clinical software development is a plus. Additional Information Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Only candidates currently residing in the United States will be considered. This role requires occasional travel to the Rochester, MN office as business needs require.
