You can see some of our favorite projects here.Start your journey with OBE and help us build the future.What You’ll Get to DoThe Director of Network Architecture and Engineering is responsible for defining, standardizing, and governing enterprise network architecture across OBE’s distributed manufacturing environment. This role focuses on architectural leadership and engineering discipline ensuring scalable, secure, and consistent network designs without owning day-to-day operations.Job responsibilities include:Define and govern enterprise network architecture standards across LAN, WAN, wireless, voice, and plant connectivity environmentsLead the transition from fragmented, site-specific network designs to standardized, scalable architectures across multiple locationsEstablish reference architectures, design patterns, and engineering guidelines to drive consistency and reduce technical variancePartner with Infrastructure Operations teams to ensure designs are implementable, supportable, and aligned to business needsCollaborate with Cybersecurity to translate security requirements into enforceable architectural designs without owning policy or monitoringWork closely with OT and plant stakeholders to ensure network designs support uptime, safety, and production requirementsDrive lifecycle planning including hardware/software refresh cycles, EOL remediation, and CAPEX prioritizationDefine network segmentation strategies across IT and OT environments, ensuring secure and controlled connectivityProvide architectural oversight for major initiatives including network upgrades, plant expansions, and modernization effortsEstablish governance processes for design reviews, exception management, and standards complianceWhat We Are Looking ForProven experience owning enterprise network architecture across multi-site environments (LAN, WAN, wireless, voice)Demonstrated success standardizing fragmented network environments and driving adoption of enterprise design standardsExperience in manufacturing, industrial, or plant-adjacent environments with an understanding of uptime and operational constraintsStrong ability to influence without direct operational ownership, enforcing design discipline across distributed teamsExperience partnering with Cybersecurity and OT teams with clear boundary ownershipDeep understanding of network segmentation, IT/OT integration, and plant connectivity modelsExperience with lifecycle management, EOL remediation, and CAPEX planningStrong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiencesBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)What OBE Offers YouBenefits that benefit you – industry competitive benefits at the lowest cost to the employeeWork-life balance – PTO and holidays, including floating holidays you can chooseCompensation that rewards your hard work – A pay-for-performance culture with potential for annual raises and bonusesTraining – We will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeedOBE is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.EOE/Vet/Disability--If you want to know more, please click on this link.Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is an E-Verify Employer.
