We are on a mission to uncover a universe of novel drug targets via an unprecedented, proprietary structural surfaceomics platform. We are seeking a dynamic, energetic, and growth-minded alliance and program management leader to oversee our exciting internal and external therapeutic programs. The role is newly created to support Immutos explosive growth in the early drug discovery space and has room to expand as our growth continues beyond 2025.This is an exciting opportunity to join a fully funded, venture-backed startup developing a pioneering approach to pharmaceutical target identification, with a focus on structurally distinct epitopes in cancer. Our core technology leverages advanced 3D culture organoid models to map and identify unique protein conformers in tumor environments, discovering totally novel disease targets and pioneering first-in-class therapeutics for oncology.The Director, Alliance and Program Management will lead operations and provide strategic support for Immutos internal pipeline programs and biopharma alliances. The Director has ownership of several exciting domains, including:Devising, implementing, and monitoring plans for internal programs and priorities focused on our therapeutic discovery efforts, as well as externally-partnered drug discovery programsWorking collaboratively and cross-functionally with internal and external teams to ensure successful implementation and on-going execution of all strategic programs at ImmutoServing as primary point of contact for one or more partnered drug discovery programs and partnershipsMaintaining alignment between internal and vendor/partner teamsAligning program priorities and forward progress with corporate strategic goals, continually auditing programs to ensure maximum alignment with goalsManaging communication, escalation of issues, and stakeholder engagement via governance mechanisms and ad hoc for more urgent mattersTeammates at Immuto Scientific make an impact on day one. You will enjoy autonomy, ownership of specific areas, and engagement with the bright and driven Immuto Scientific team on the cusp of our exponential rise. Key ResponsibilitiesOversight over all internal programs, which may include drug discovery, therapeutic development, or enterprise-level operational programs (including IT, risk management, etc.), for all internal and external programs (including partnered drug discovery, clinical collaborations, and external vendor management), via the following tasks:For partnered programs or vendor relationships, ensure both internal and externally contracted deliverables and milestones are met as laid out in the executed contracts and research plans verify that plans are updated as the collaborations/partnerships and internal programs grow and evolve.Identify and track accountability for key milestones across projects via program and project management tools, like dashboards, RACI matrices, program charters, etc.Create dashboards and communication strategies to effectively convey project status and progress both internally and externallySupport clear and efficient decision-making by identifying time-sensitive decisions, facilitating discussion, providing recommendations with team input, and documenting outcomesRemain in frequent contact with internal project teams to track progress, identify growing issues, and resolve problems before escalation via ad-hoc communications or governance meetingsFor external partners and vendors, serves as the key point of contact in managing day-to-day partnership activities, including stakeholder communications, internal communications, monitoring progress against milestones, resolution of issues, escalation of issues, etc.Proactively identifies and raises issues both for external efforts with partners or vendors and internally within project teams and provides recommendations for resolutions. Act as point of internal escalation, resolving issues without further escalation.For partnered programs, articulates partnership vision; understands partnership projects in context of industry and program strategy, both internally and with a broader view to the entire market.Advocates for partner needs, provides voice of partner (VOP), and conveys program strategy to internal project teams and working groups.Lead and organize execution of partnership and/or vendor governance bodies pursuant to the contract attend all governance meetings as an observer and stakeholder and serve as the internal record keeper during those meetings.Promote and maintain partner satisfaction through sustained engagement and by soliciting feedback from external partners where appropriate. Basic Qualifications:Life science-focused advanced degree (MS or PhD) and 5+ years of experience, or an equivalent mixture of life science-focused education and experience, in the life sciences or biopharmaceutical industry (Academic Medical Center or not-for-profit organizations included)Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams without direct reporting relationships in the planning and execution of collaborative projectsExceptional listening and speaking skillsDemonstrated history of being proactive, taking initiative, and driving to resultsClear and precise communication skills, including to C-suite and executive-level stakeholdersStrong organizational skills to maintain a high level of productivity, innovation, and setting priorities (may be demonstrated via PMP certification)High level of attention to detail and understanding of nuanceSophistication, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently Preferred QualificationsPhD in a scientific discipline3+ years in a program management, project management or alliance management functionExperience leading multi-disciplinary teams without direct reporting relationships in the planning and execution of collaborative projectsHybrid workplace some days onsite at Immutos Cambridge, MA offices (Kendall Sq)Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time domestically to meet with project teams located at Immutos site in Madison, WIStrong knowledge and credibility in the oncology marketDemonstrated ability to navigate and communicate across organizations with different cultures & priorities recblid 2bty6vz0dcak5gv9bgnlh4s1z8jc72
