The program includes multiple clinical studies, including late-stage trials, and is progressing toward regulatory submission and commercialization.The Global Program Leader (GPL) holds full responsibility for the overall strategy, execution, and lifecycle management of assigned programs—from early research through market launch. This individual will coordinate cross-functional efforts, define development strategies, and ensure successful delivery aligned with corporate objectives and patient needs.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish and drive global program strategy, ensuring alignment with medical need, competitive dynamics, and commercial goalsLead cross-functional teams across research, clinical development, regulatory, manufacturing, and commercial functionsOversee execution of all program activities, ensuring milestones are met within scope, budget, and timelinesGuide programs through regulatory interactions, submissions, approvals, and product launchPartner with commercial leadership to shape asset positioning and global access strategiesManage program budgets in collaboration with program management and functional teamsIdentify risks proactively and implement mitigation strategiesPresent program updates, key decisions, and risks to senior leadership and governance committeesSupport broader organizational initiatives aimed at improving development efficiency and innovationContribute to evaluation of new opportunities, including potential pipeline expansionsLeadership ExpectationsSuccessful candidates will demonstrate:Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate vision into executionProven leadership in complex, matrixed environmentsEffective decision-making and communication skillsAbility to inspire and guide diverse, global teamsStrong analytical capabilities and business acumenExperience delivering results in challenging, high-stakes settingsAdditional DutiesOversee multiple programs of varying complexity and development stagesCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and key expertsSupport continuous improvement initiatives across development processesMentor team members and contribute to leadership development across the organizationQualificationsAdvanced degree in a scientific discipline (MD, PhD, or PharmD preferred)Extensive experience in pharmaceutical or biotech development (typically 12+ years)Significant global experience managing complex development programs and cross-functional teamsDemonstrated success in regulatory submissions and approvals for new therapiesStrong understanding of both development and commercial aspects of drug lifecycle managementExperience leading within a matrix structure is highly desirablePreferredCertification in project management (e.g., PMP)Track record of developing talent and building high-performing teamsAdditional InformationThis position follows a hybrid working model.
