Electromechanical assembly technician

job summary: Our client is a global precision manufacturer seeking an Electromechanical Assembly Technician who thrives in a fast-paced, high-speed automated production environment. This is not a button-pushing role - you'll be hands-on every shift, troubleshooting sensor faults, repairing pneumatic components, and keeping complex automated assembly equipment running at full speed. APPLY TODAY!location: Elgin, Illinois job type: Contract salary: $29 - 31 per hour work hours: 10pm to 7am education: High School responsibilities:Operate and monitor high-speed automated assembly equipment including rotary and inline indexing machines, hot foil printing machines, and pad printing systems Troubleshoot, identify root cause, and resolve sensor issues - including wiring, adjusting, and replacing proximity and photoelectric sensors on automated lines Diagnose and repair pneumatic systems including small air cylinders, slides, and valves Perform equipment changeovers accurately and efficiently to minimize downtime Execute mechanical repairs and component replacements to keep equipment running at peak performance Accurately complete production reports each shift Maintain a clean, organized work area in compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards Actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, safe working, and operational excellenceKey Requirements:Must have 3+ years of hands-on experience with automated equipment in a manufacturing environment strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical principles, fabrication, and troubleshooting in plastics and robotic systems Electronics background with direct experience wiring, adjusting, and replacing sensors Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve sensor faults on automated equipment Solid pneumatics experience - air cylinders, slides, valves; comfortable diagnosing and replacing components Mechanical hands-on mindset - you get into the machine and fix it, not just flag it Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel for production reportingShift Available: 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday-Friday 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Monday-Friday Ocassional Saturday overtime availablequalifications:Experience level: Experienced Minimum 3 years of experience Education: High Schoolskills: Mechanical Electronics Technician Pneumatics Solidworks Electro-mechanical Equal Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.
