AMOC Senior Systems Engineer

OverviewPlanned Systems International (PSI) is an enterprise IT services company that designs, builds, secures, and operates software solutions that support mission success and operational excellence across Federal Government organizations. PSI is seeking an AMOC Senior Systems Engineer to provide full-time, on-site technical leadership supporting the CBP Air and Marine Operations Center.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and analyze C4I communications capabilities, including system performance, interoperability, and operational effectivenessAssess C4I infrastructure capacity and identify improvements to support mission requirementsAnalyze integration of radar, sensor inputs, and IP-based communications systemsSupport engineering efforts related to system upgrades, enhancements, and technology refresh initiativesTroubleshoot complex system issues across AMOSS, ISR, and telecommunications environmentsProvide technical recommendations to improve system reliability, scalability, and performanceSupport configuration management and system baseline control processesCollaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless system integrationSupport installation, testing, and validation of new systems and enhancementsParticipate in technical reviews, engineering assessments, and mission planning activitiesEnsure compliance with security requirements, operational procedures, and system standardsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; experience may substituteExperience supporting maintenance and sustainment of C4I, AMOSS, or ISR systems in operational environmentsExperience troubleshooting complex system issues across hardware, software, and network componentsExperience working with mission equipment, maintenance tools, and COTS systemsExperience using diagnostic and test equipment to identify and resolve system faultsDemonstrated understanding of operational requirements and ability to apply technical procedures in mission environments10+ yearsEvaluating and analyzing C4I communications capability and interoperabilityEvaluating and analyzing C4I communications infrastructure capability, capacity, and interoperabilityEvaluating and analyzing the installation of C4I serial and IP radar and other sensor inputsEvaluating and analyzing network cabling and infrastructure to ensure compliance with industry standards, configuration requirements, and policyConducting bandwidth analysis of network and communications infrastructure to ensure efficient and stable operationsOverseeing and verifying system, network, and communications wiring diagrams and data flow technical documentationPhysical DemandsAbility to work in operational environments supporting technical systemsMay require standing, walking, and limited lifting of equipmentAbility to travel and deploy to operational locations as requiredAdditional InformationTravel is required to support mission operations, system maintenance, and engineering activities across CBP operational locations. Personnel will deploy to sites including CAMOC in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, and other CONUS and OCONUS locations to perform installation, troubleshooting, integration, and sustainment of C4I, AMOSS, ISR, and telecommunications systems. Travel may be scheduled or occur on short notice in response to mission priorities or system outages. Duration may range from short-term temporary duty to extended support periods based on operational needs.
