Summary of Position: (remote work considered)The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving net-new revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities with banks and treasury departments, whether through new logo acquisition or new departments within existing customers. This is a quota-carrying, hunter-focused sales role centered on prospecting, pipeline creation and winning new customer relationships.The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, results-driven self-starter who thrives in a remote environment and is comfortable traveling frequently within the U.S. This role requires ownership of the full sales cycle, from initial outreach through close, while collaborating with internal sales teams, cross-functional departments, manufacturers, vendors and industry partners to deliver compelling solutions to new prospects.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Own and execute a new business acquisition strategy aligned with company growth objectivesIdentify, qualify and pursue net-new banking and treasury prospects, building relationships with key decision-makersGenerate pipeline through outbound prospecting, including cold calling, networking, referrals and industry eventsConduct market and competitive research to uncover new opportunities, whitespace accounts, emerging trends and competitive advantagesLead sales cycles for new accounts, from discovery and solution alignment through negotiation and closePrepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to prospective needsCollaborate with internal teams (sales, managed services, marketing and leadership) to develop winning solutions for new clientsEvaluate RFP/RFI opportunities and lead response strategy with a focus on new customer acquisitionAccurately track pipeline, activities and performance metrics in CRM (Monday.com)Participate in pipeline and forecast reviews, clearly articulating progress of sales cyclesKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field10 years of proven experience in the financial industryKnowledge of banking technology products, services, software and regulationsStrong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of achieving targetsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain professional relationshipsAbility to analyze market trends and develop effective sales strategiesProficient in MS OfficeCustomer Base:Primarily focused on banks and treasury departments in the U.S.All Benchmark customers and prospects are included in the customer baseTarget customers not limited to existing customers and prospectsWorking Conditions/Physical Requirements of the Job:Ability to travel up to 30% of your timeFrequent (every 6-8 weeks) travel to Alpharetta office required if employed remotelyAbility to sit at a computer terminal for an extended periodWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone and keyboardThe above is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of the job described, nor is it intended to be an exhaustive list of the skills and abilities required to do the job.
